Wholesale Costume Club Review

Wholesale Costume Club

I was sent a Pixar Toy Story Costume for review.

The costume arrived pretty quickly and in great shape. I was excited to have my nephew try it on. When he opened it, his face just lit up. He immediately put it on and ran around yelling "Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!"

All of the costumes on Wholesale Costume Club are very reasonably priced. I always have a hard time finding good quality costumes at a cheaper price. Well, I have found my solution, and with 3 kids this will help greatly come Halloween time. They not only offer a large variety of childrens, baby, and teen costumes but adults as well.

K5 Learning Review

K5 learning is an online reading and math program for kindergarten through grade 5.

I am so glad I was given the opportunity to review this program. Not just me, but my daughters were excited as well. First thing after signing up for the program, both of my girls jumped right on. They could not wait to learn. My 4 yr old and my 8 yr old both began with the assessments. The assessment measures what they already know so the lessons can work on what they have not learned. By the next the day I received an email with the results of their assessments. Both of my girls did great and I think the results were accurate and started the lessons off in the right spot. If not, you can request the lessons be adjusted to their learning level if you feel they are too easy or hard.

The lessons were fun and interactive for the girls. They also break the lessons up with games in between so the kids do not get bored. They are easy to start and stop to come back too.

Here is a little more information on the program:
How it Works
Kids complete an online assessment of 8 key reading and math skills, and then work independently at their own pace through over 3,000 online lessons and activities. The lessons are animated, interactive and simple enough that a 4-5 year old can use them independently. We automatically choose lessons for students (based on their assessment and past lessons), track student progress and provide reports for parents.

Benefits for Kids
K5 helps kids learn essential reading and math skills, develop good study habits, and fulfill their academic potential.

Benefits for Parents
K5 makes life easier for parents by allowing for effective, independent study by kids. Simplified interfaces, automatic lesson selection, student tracking and reporting all contribute to minimize the amount of daily supervision required.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Fundraiser

I am excited to be teamed up with a great organization to help childhood cancer.

Here is a little bit of information about the organization.

Our Mission and History

  • To raise money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, primarily research into new treatments and cures.
  • To encourage and empower others, especially children, to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) shares the vision of our founder and creator, Alexandra “Alex” Scott—a cure for all children with cancer.
When Alex, who was diagnosed with childhood cancer just before her first birthday, was four, she told her parents she wanted to set up a front-yard lemonade stand. Her plan: to give the money to doctors to help them find a cure. Her first “Alex’s Lemonade Stand”, held with the help of her older brother Patrick, raised an astonishing $2,000 in one day. While bravely fighting her own cancer, Alex continued to set up lemonade stands every year. As news spread of the remarkable girl so dedicated to helping other sick children, people everywhere were inspired to start their own lemonade stands—donating the proceeds to her cause.
In 2004 when Alex passed away at the age of eight—her stand and inspiration had raised more than $1 million towards finding a cure for the disease that took her life. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation was started by her parents in 2005 to continue the work that Alex began. Our mission is simple: to raise money for and awareness of childhood cancer causes—especially research into new treatments and cures—and to encourage and empower others, especially children, to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer.
Since Alex set up her first lemonade stand in 2000—truly exemplifying the saying “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade”—we have raised more than $50 million. That money has helped to:

• Fund more than 200 cutting-edge research projects

• Create a travel program to help support families of children receiving treatment

• Develop resources to help people everywhere affected by childhood cancer
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is the living embodiment of Alex’s spirit of determination and hope. Like Alex, we believe that every person can make a difference. Together, we can bring about a cure. Please join us in “making lemonade” today!

How your donation helps.

Your donation counts, here's how!

“I am honored to receive this grant from Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, and am inspired by Alexandra’s story. This funding will jump start a clinical research project with great implications for children, whose disease has been unresponsive to traditional therapies, giving new hope to them and their parents.”
- Mark Kieran, MD, PhD, Director of Pediatric Medical Neuro-Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is committed to finding a cure for all childhood cancers. To date, we have funded over 200 research projects at more than 65 institutions across the country! In addition to funding cutting-edge research into finding better treatments and ultimately cures, we also fund nursing grants to improve the quality of life and care of children with cancer.
While the majority of our funding goes toward research, we are also innately aware of the struggles that families face throughout their battle with childhood cancer, emotionally, financially and otherwise, and have created programs to assist them.  The Alex’s Lemonade Stand Travel Fund helps families with travel expenses as they travel for treatments that their children need.  Our annual Childhood Cancer Symposium brings childhood cancer families together to learn about the disease, treatment and beyond.
Without the support of volunteers and supporters (like you!) we wouldn’t be making important strides toward eradicating childhood cancer as well as improving the lives of children and their families as they battle the disease. Thank you for making a difference for children with cancer everywhere.
Several of us mark. girls have teamed up to help this great cause. If you would like to help just click here: mark. girls Lemon Sugar Event and Click on Melanie B- Lewiston, MI to shop.Use code:*welcome* for free shipping :)

BrytonPick- FLOSS In Seconds Review

Convenient way to clean wedged food between teeth.
Great for braces and Invisalign users.

Website: Brytonpick

My thoughts:
So I have to say I was not expecting the actual flosser to be stainless steel. It is definitely different. With that said, I like it! I love the convenience of it and that it is good for up to 30 days. It does take a minute to get the hang of it, but very easy to use. It comes with a carry pouch so you can take it easily with you anywhere.
Better than messing with floss and gets more than a toothpick. The best solution for on the go!

Advantages:
Reusable
Germ resistant
Portable
Convenient

These are available at: Meijer, Drug Fair, A & P, Superfresh, Pathmark, Amazon.com, Drugstore.com, CVS.com, Walgreens.com, and BrytonPick.com.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Wholesale Keychains Review and Giveaway ~ 2/17

I got the pleasure of reviewing two products from Wholesale Keychains.

The first keychain that I chose was one for my kids. Well ok, my husband likes the game too :) I got a Bop It Carabiner.

We played the larger version and this keychain is just like it! What a great way to keep the kids busy in the car. The only different thing I found is it has a "Shout it" which it totally fun!

The second keychain I chose was a Harley- Davidson Keychain and Picture Frame.

My father in law is a huge Harley Davidson fan so I thought this would be a great gift for him. I just loved it. Not only can I put a picture of the grandkids in it, but I also got his name engraved on it.
I love both of the products I got and guess what? If you like them, you can win both as well! Just enter below.

What has been going on....

So, I have been a little down lately with everything going on so I thought, why not blog about all the great things that have happened in the past few weeks.

First of all, I started the 90 day challenge with Body by Vi and I am loving it! I am a big fan of shakes and totally do not mind having two a day! And, the best part, I have lost 5 lbs in my first two weeks! That is exciting right? If you want to learn more feel free to contact me at briggs1672@hotmail.com. It really is a life changing experience.

Second, we have been spending a ton of time remodeling our house to get it appraised so that we can sell it and get our new dream home. Yes, we are weird and for some reason like to fix up houses and then move. This is the second time we have done it. But, it will all be worth it when we get our new house. Her is a photo of just the kitchen part we remodeled.

Third, my poor little guy, 8 1/2 months, has been teething like crazy. Already has 5 teeth and I think 3 more coming in. Yes he is way ahead of the gang. He is almost walking too! I am so thankful for  the joy he brings me.

Fourth, my oldest daughter is turning 9 on Friday! I cannot believe it, they grow up way to fast. So big Birthday part for her on Sunday.

My Birthday is coming up in a few weeks, I will be turning the big 30!!! So not ready but so excited for what is to come.

And lastly, I am loving selling mark. If you haven't checked it out you should. They have amazing products at great prices. I signed up for just $20, yes only $20, and have earned that back and more! I would love for any of you to join to my team! If interested send me an email. Price will be going up shortly so now is the time! Get all of this for just $20!

So, now that I feel a little better, thank you all for listening. Stay on the lookout for new giveaways and reviews. More to come shortly :)
